We have been seeing a lot of pictures of Philippine Airlines' cabin crew PPEs but now, we get the full details of who wears them and the final design of each. There are actually three designs, one for flight pursers, one for flight stewards (male cabin crew), and one for flight attendants (female cabin crew).
The PAL PPE are a full gear consisting of protective clothing, a face shield, gloves, and face mask. This provides full protection for their cabin crew against any virus. They are also not just PPEs, they were designed to be stylish carrying the branding of Philippine Airlines.
Flight pursers wear a white protective gear with facemask, faceshield and gloves. The PPEs of flight steward include a navy blue protective gear with skyblue accent, facemask, faceshield and gloves whereas the flight attendants wear a skyblue protective gear with navy blue accent, facemask, faceshield and gloves.
All these have blue, yellow, and red strips on the left shoulder of the cabin crew, symbolizing the colors of the Philippine flag and the airline.
PAL is one of the world's first airlines to provide a full PPE for their cabin crew. In the next coming months even after regular flights return back to the air, it seems like PPEs will be the next "new normal" uniform.
All these PPEs are designed to protect the cabin crew, to be comfortable enough for them to carry out their duties effectively, and to be as stylish as well, carrying the branding of the airline.
By far, we think they are indeed stylish!
