They have fans all over the world, and perhaps, they are YouTube's next set of rising stars. Their YouTube channel now has 167,000 plus subscribers and counting. No flight attendant in the Philippines has gained this much popularity on YouTube than Team Tarah. Tanchellie Lobete and Sarah Garcia, who are presently both flight attendants of Philippine Airlines, make-up Team Tarah, short for TAnchellie and saRAH.
Tanchellie and Sarah are an LGBTQ couple who share their lives on YouTube. They document their daily activities when not flying, and they do also give tips for those who aspire to be flight attendants one day. However, they never expected that they would be this popular as their ultimate goal was to share their life with others.
Tanchellie is actually a long time vlogger. She is also a student pilot would share her pilot life on her channel which had been around for three years. It was only recent when she really got into more vlogging after her video showcasing what flight attendants do after flight gained so much views! The vlog, which gained more than 500,000 views in an instant, basically showed Tanchellie and Sarah on a layover in Los Angeles. From then on, the two went on to create more vlogs about flight attendant life and their personal lives as well. According to Tanchellie in an interview with Mond Ortiz, being a student pilot prompted her to share her vlog with the hopes of touching the lives of others. She believes that anything can happen being a student pilot, and should the unthinkable happen (knock on wood), she has something to leave behind. Presently, Tanchellie is a full-time flight attendant and now, a full-fledge vlogger.
Tanchellie and Sarah don't only vlog for the sake of doing one, they have a purpose. With their tagline "Let's be better together, and do everything with love," the couple's goal is to inspire others to always be a better version of themselves, and of course, to love one another. Team Tarah believes that no one should be life behind in this world, hence, their mission statement and tagline for their followers and viewers.
Tanchellie and Sarah encourage their followers to go out and help others, in fact, some of their fans have organized feeding programs and other charity work.
Team Tarah's fans have established chapters around the Philippines and the world. According to Mond who once interviewed both Tanchellie and Sarah quite a time ago, "both Tanchellie and Sarah are very simple, humble, and low key people, but very genuine. They have no pretensions. As flight attendants, they have imbibed that trait of having a genuine concern which is clearly evident in how they inspire and help others reach their potential and dreams. Indeed, they deserve the success they are enjoying now, and I am truly honored to have that opportunity to interview Team Tarah!"
Team Tarah is scheduled to have a meet and greet for a cause on January 4, 2020 at the Dazo Hall, Philamlife Village Clubhouse, Earl Carol St., Philamlife Village, Las Pinas City.
Just a little trivia. The name TARAH was actually derived from the name of their first car the two purchased together.
