This coronavirus pandemic has had its devastating effects but it did also bring out the best in every individual. Remember the Philippine Airlines flight steward who spearheaded the "Crewmeal for the Frontliners"? Yes we are talking about Archie Nino Osio. Well aside from going out his way to help the frontliners, he also did not forget to help his family and of course, himself, especially in a time when he barely flies.
This enterprising flight steward's family has a catering business named "Osio's Catering". He also has an events place which he placed up out of his own salary from PAL. However, there are no events too these days hence, their business was greatly affected. Add the fact also that he barely flies as it was only last June 1 when PAL resumed commercial flights on a very limited number.
Archie then placed up Ihaw Ihaw sa Archie's, a barbeque stand right in front of his events place which is beside their home. This is not just your typical barbeque stand, but a booth which is also decorated to attract more customers within his area.
From barbeque, they also offered packed and everyday meals. Their place has now become a stopover spot for riders who are also delivering food and other necessities to homes while this lockdown is still in place.
Archie's newest venture has greatly helped augment their family income. "Nakatulong ito to sustain our existing business.
Archie now shares this to all present cabin crew facing uncertainties:
Be Creative, Don't lose Hope and Know your Purpose! Yung profit? Papasok yan after.
Thank you Archie for sharing your #AsensoCabinCrew story. Indeed, tough situations bring out the toughness in us. These tough situations don't last, but tough people do. Crisis and pandemics bring out the best in us where we realize that with faith in God and prayer, we can overcome any situation that may come our way.
