What we thought would scare passengers and netizens turned out to be the opposite. Some airlines are earning praises from the passengers and netizens for allowing their cabin crew to wear face masks as protection in the face of the Novel Coronavirus which broke-out in Wuhan China and is now spreading like wildfire. Not only did the airlines win praise, but passengers felt more at ease.
A passenger named "Ray Tarol" recently took to social media to express his praise for Cebu Pacific for looking after the health safety of their flight attendants by allowing them to wear face masks. Cebu Pacific flies to 5 destinations in mainland China namely Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Xiamen.
Another Cebu Pacific flight attendant shared to us that a passenger told her "salamat at naka mask kayo. Buti ang CebPac iniisip ang kalusugan nyo. Salamat sa Panginoon (Thanks that you're in masks. Good thing Cebu Pacific things about your health. Thank God!)".
A Royal Air flight attendant shared to us that a passenger said that he had "peace of mind seeing that the cabin crew are not potential carriers of the virus for being protected".
Netizens would also comment on our posts of FAs in face masks saying "safety first"
Many airlines have temporarily suspended flights to mainland China in the wake of the spread of nCoV virus while other airlines still flying to the mainland have allowed their crew to wear face masks. Royal Air Philippines have also provided free vaccine to their employees for added protection against the virus.
