Thomas Edison once said, "I never failed 10,000 times. I just found 10,000 ways that did not work" when he first invented the light bulb. This means that it took him 10,000 attempts to make a light bulb, which means 10,000 tries. It worked at the end! Many of you future cabin crew may be going through the same stage, and guess what, you might be almost near your dream to be a cabin crew!
I have been sharing you stories of flight attendants who went through more than15 attempts before earning their wings. Inspiring, right? Well they are no different from reknowned people like Bill Gates, Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, who just like you, went through struggles before finally achieving their goals.
Let me remind you that this is not just about trying and trying again. Ever attempt should be accompanied by improvements. Please do not fall for the notion that the more you keep trying, your chances will get bigger. They have to be accompanied by self improvements, changes, and what I term as "upgrades".
Before making Flyhigh Manila the brand and website it is today, it took me so many attempts, failures, and adjustments. I listened to those people who would advice me and up to now, I still learn. When I make mistakes, I acknowledge them, then I work to improve as not to repeat the same mistakes again. I never passed on any failures or temporary defeat unto others.
Failures or should I say, temporary defeats are a pre-requisite to progress, for as long as you learn from them.
These stories have greatly inspired me and I am sure they will uplift your spirits too. I gathered these success stories from different sources like Entrepreneur and Lifehack to prove to you that nothing is impossible if only you work hard to achieve your dreams.
So where you once told, "you are not fit to be a flight attendant"? Never forget that Walt Disney was once told that he lacked creativity.
Good luck future cabin crew!
