I waited seven years to become a cabin crew! From years of waiting, 20+ rejected applications and multiple airline entry attempts, to that golden email, to the most awaited date of joining, to intense trainings, sleepless nights, everyday exams, tough practicals and up to the last day which is our wings day!
I've been through a lot of broken hearts and "better-luck-next-times". I've been disappointed with myself and came to a point of doubting my capabilities and strengths. During those dark days though, I chose to start and go again by improving myself and moving again. I stood up and kept my head up until finally, on my last attempt to attend an open day last November 2016, God heard my prayers.
I must say that this was one of the hardest and most challenging days of my life. Then again, it was also one of the most liberating, most too-good-to-be-true, and one of the most fulfilling phases of my existence.
I am still in awe. Everything still feels unreal. If I have one advise to everyone, that advise is this:
No matter who you are, as long as you have that little dream in your head right now, PLEASE go for it and never think of raising that white flag! No matter how hard it is to wait and no matter how long you think your dream will take, NEVER, EVER GIVE UP on it!
Your dream will guide you. It will definitely direct your path. It will give you motivation. Your dream could be your greatest purpose in life so don't you dare give up on it!
Just wait and be patient. We all have our own 'perfect timings'. We have our own time zones in life. Everything happens for a reason and you might not know that by now, but sooner, you will. Remember that you are not being left behind. God is just making sure that you're ready and prepared enough to receive what's in store for you in the future.
My "perfect time" came after 7 long years. and today, after a long, long wait, I can say that it was all worth it.
