Halloween is over but spooky stories are still circulating. These spooky stories are usually limited to places like old houses, abandoned hospitals, dark roads, and buildings. Guess what, they say there are also ghosts in the air and we got some stories from a few flight attendants from different airlines.
Everyone are entitled to their own personal opinion about the supernatural world and forms but nevertheless, we would like to share you some of these spooky stories from 40,000ft above the ground!
1. “After we shut the doors, I did my routinary work to count the passengers on board. The manifesto said 114 were on board but I counted 115. I thought I was sleepy so I counted again. 115! I rechecked the manifesto and counted 114 on board. I reported this to the captain before pushback to verify why I was counting 115 on board but it only showed 114 on the manifesto. Captain radioed ground. After a few minutes, ground radioed back saying 114 boarded the aircraft. Then a passenger called me and said ‘yung asawa ko nasa ilalim (my spouse is underneath)’. I then asked the lady ‘may katabi po kayo? (are you beside anyone?)’ and she said, ‘hindi mo ba nakikita, blanko ang upuan (don’t you see, the seat is blank)’. I stopped in shock, because there was an old man seated on that so called ‘blank seat’.”
2. “The aircraft was an A330 and it had a crew rest below near the cargo area. We were about to land when I noticed an old man in the crew rest, sitting down in one of the beds. I though it was one of our crew’s relative so I asked him politely to return to his seat as we were about to land. He told me to go to his wife seated at seat number XX and ask for his pills. I didn’t argue with the old man and went to look for his wife. I then told told his wife that her husband is in the crew rest looking for his pills and would not return to his seat. The wife suddenly stopped and told me ‘you must be kidding, my husband is one of the cargo'”
3. “We were crossing the Pacific heading towards America and we were serving the usual meals. I came across a certain passenger seated on the emergency exit row, window seat. He asked me for an extra meal. I noticed that he looked pale, so I decided to just go get my crew meal to give it to him. When I got to his seat, I saw no one there. I asked the passengers seated behind him if they saw the man. The passenger told me they thought I was crazy, because they saw me talking to a blank seat and the no one was there all the time.”
