Rejections and turn downs are a part of life. No matter the situation is, there is always a yes or a no. In a game, it's either you win or you lose. If you don't want to lose, then don't get in the game. I understand that many of you would really like to pursue your cabin crew dream but rejections have indeed consumed you. That feeling is normal, but don't allow it to take away your dream. Extinguish the fire before it consumes it.
The best way is not to allow rejections to consume your dream to be a flight attendant is to see these turn downs on a different light. Here's a story.
Look around you, you see light bulbs, right? At night, they provide illumination for you to see properly. They are indeed essential in today's time. Way back when incandescent bulbs were inexistent until Thomas Edison wanted to invent create one. Before he got the first one working, it took him 1,000 attempts. 1,000 failures before getting it right. When Edison finally got the incandescent bulb working, he merely said, "I did not fail 1,000 times. I just found 1,000 ways that did not work." So imagine what would our life be now if Thomas Edison decided to give-up on the 5th attempt.
When Coca-Cola started, they merely sold 9 bottles a day on its first year! Imagine, 9 bottles a day! Today, they sell like a million bottles every minute worldwide! Imagine how things would be if Coca-Cola decided to pull-out the shelves and end production mid-year.
In the face of rejection, it is normal to feel frustrated but instead of allowing that frustration to consume you, use that rejection as a teacher. You are being taught a lesson! What do you need to change? What do you need to improve? Then go try again!
Allowing rejections to consume your flight attendant dream will result to nothing. It will not solve anything. You've already been bruised, you might as well keep going and win.
Good luck future cabin crew!
