Today, May 31, we celebrate International Flight Attendant Day, a day where we recognize all our airline cabin crew for their dedication and efforts to ensure the safety and security of every passenger. However, today, we do not just celebrate the career of being an airline cabin crew, but we give them tribute as our frontliners in the sky in the middle of this pandemic.
This year's International Flight Attendant Day, we recognize the role of our flight attendants played in the fight versus CoviD-19. These flight attendants were called from the comfort of their home in order to answer the call of duty to fly home and unite other families.
Flight attendants are frontliners too, frontliners in the sky. During this pandemic, many people were stranded in other countries when air travel was highly restricted. However, some airlines continued to operate repatriation flights.
These flight attendants attended to the needs of these passengers, ensuring their safety, and making sure they are comfortable. These cabin crew are ready to respond to any emergency, to make sure these passengers make it back safe. Having the most exposure to other people, some airlines equipped them with PPEs in order to protect them from the coronavirus.
Despite the danger and the risk they face, these flight attendants remained steadfast to their sworn duty to their airline and their country, to be of service to others, and to put the welfare of others above their very own.
Today, we celebrate the gallantry and the dedication of our cabin crew as frontliners in the sky. Let us not forget that behind every father, mother, brother, sister, son, and daughter reunited in the middle of this pandemic are flight attendants who ensured their safety and comfort on board. These are flight attendants who left home to bring them home, cabin crew members who left the safety of their home to ensure the safety of their passengers.
Our snappy salute goes out to all our flight attendants, our frontliners in the sky! This year's International Flight Attendant's Day, we give you tribute not only as any cabin crew, but as a frontliner. Your role during this pandemic will always be remembered which will go down in history books!
Happy International Flight Attendants Day!
