Philippine Airlines is still in very much need of more cabin crew to support its expansion like additional flights and more aircraft, hence, they are still hiring more and more flight attendants and stewards. We usually get a lot of questions and as much as possible, we try not to answer them because only PAL will be able to answer such. Now, we will do our best to answer SOME of these questions but we do recommend that you still forward your questions to PAL.
Until when is PAL hiring?
We honestly do not know when but do not wait for the deadline, instead, take action immediately.
What are the qualifications to be a PAL cabin crew?
Qualifications to be a Philippine Airlines flight attendant are the following:
Is there a maximum age limit?
None if you are a former cabin crew, but as much as possible, not old enough where you are nearing the government's recognized retirement age.
How many recruitment steps do I have to go through?
Ranges from 5 to 6 steps, so just be prepared.
I can speak English straight but I do also have an Ilocano/Ilonggo/Cebuano/Batangueno (etc) accent. Is this a minus?
Actually, having such accent is a plus as you have the advantage to connect better to our kababayans especially the OFWs and balikbayans. So just imagine during the flight, the ammusingly passenger asks you "Ilocano ka ba? Taga saan kayo?" which will surely lead to a nice conversation. So yes, that is a plus! Just make sure you don't have the "B and V" and "P and F" problem.
Does PAL accept male cabin crew?
Absolutely yes, in fact, as of this writing, they are in need of more male to be flight stewards!
Is it true that I have to be light skinned to be a cabin crew?
Absolutely NOT! Philippine Airlines accepts any skin tone color for as long as there are no blemishes or obvious marks.
What is the difference between Philippine Airlines and PAL Express?
Philippine Airlines fly international destinations and a few domestic whereas PAL Express flies mostly to domestic destinations and a very few international.
Do both Philippine Airlines and PAL Express have the same standards when selecting cabin crew?
Yes they do, especially that they are operating under one brand. Just a note though, applying at PAL Express is different from applying at Philippine Airlines. They are still two distinct companies operating under one mother company.
